Google finally announced on 10 May, 2023 that, 180 countries will be able to try on the beta release of Google Bard, which supposed to be equivalent with OpenAI ChatGPT. So how does it doing? Especially when compared to OpenAI GPT4, and AI21 Jurassic-2 Jumbo model?

Today, we continue to test with language capability, we asking the AI Engine to tell translate a famous Chinese poem into English, let’s see how they did. To understand the background of this poem, you may refer to the wiki here.

We tested with 3 AI engines, and here are the results:
- Google Bard: Nope, Google Bard not so ready yet, let’s give it some time
- OpenAI GPT4: GPT4 not only translate the poem, but took the liberty to introduce some simple background of the poem
- AI21 Jurassic-2 Jumbo: Not bad, it did what I told, translate the poem, and only translate the poem
